Fierro-Radilla, Atoany Nazareth

He received his Bachelor's degree in Communications and Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Communications, his Master's degree in Engineering Sciences in Microelectronics with a specialization in Computer Vision, and his Ph.D. in Communications and Electronics with a specialization in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in 2012, 2015, and 2019, respectively. He is currently a full-time professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey in the Mechatronics department. In 2012, he worked at Huawei Technologies Ltd. as a wireless communications engineer, later being promoted first to the Customer Support department at IUSACELL's office and then to the Customer Support department in the GSM area for Latin America. In 2015, he won a scholarship from the Japanese government to undertake a one-year research stay in artificial intelligence at the University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo. In 2021, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Oxford Immune Algorithmics Middle East in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where he implemented Artificial Intelligence for monitoring the human immune system. That same year, the company hired him as the Leader of the Natural Language Processing department at the Reading office in the United Kingdom. He is the author of over a dozen indexed articles and has given more than a dozen national and international conferences, such as MICAI (Mexican International Conference on Artificial Intelligence), IWBF (International Workshop on Biometrics and Forensics), CCE (International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science, and Automatic Control), and SoMeT (International Conference on Intelligent Software Methodologies, Tools, and Techniques). Dr. Fierro is currently a member of the Mexican Society of Artificial Intelligence. In 2021, he received the award for the best technical paper at the MICAI 2021 conference.
